This store is dedicated to the memories of  Mable, a very spunky Austrailian Shepherd and Priscilla, a faithful 14 year-old Calico cat.  We make annual donations of merchandise to the San Diego Humane Society, in their honor.

ColorfulCritters.com opened its internet doors in the Fall of 2003.  We are a subsidiary of Jeanne's Jewels & Collectibles.  Prior to that we had been selling online in various venues since 1998.  Our quick response to inquiries, fast shipping, professionalism, and consistent customer service have set us apart from many other internet stores and have helped us become a popular site for Laurel Burch fans and people who enjoy cat and pet related merchandise for themselves and for gifts!

  • We do not have a printed catalog because we have over 2000 items in our store and our inventory changes rapidly.  Our web store is our catalog!
  • We are a retail store only and do not offer wholesale pricing.  We do frequently offer discounts, which are offered through our monthly email newsletters.  You may sign up for our newsletter - see right column of page.
Site Security:

Our site has been certified as secure by Network Solutions (see the certified link in the right border of page) and by Scan Alert (see the Hacker Safe emblem on the top left of each page).  You can feel safe in entering your credit card and personal information into our site.  We never give or sell your personal or contact information to any other entities.  Nor do we store credit card information in our computers or paper files.

Most orders are shipped within 3-5 business days.  If you have a special need for expedited shipping, please send us a separate mail to notify us - in many cases we can accommodate your needs.  Expedite requests may be missed if you put them in the order notes, so a separate email is recommended. Our shopping cart will automatically figure the shipping charges based on your zip code, the total weight of the items in your cart, and the delivery method you select. 

U.S. Shipping.  We ship all items in the United States by US Postal Service.   Our shopping cart will present your shipping options during check-out.  We list approximate delivery times below, however the postal service provides no guarantee of timely delivery.  Once we turn a package over to the postal service, we will not be responsible for the delivery time.

International shipping is available to many countries.   First Class, Priority and Express International mail is available.   Express costs more than other classes, but is the only form of mailing that provides insured shipping with tracking of packages.  Our shopping cart automatically calculates international shipping charges.  Simply add the items to your cart, start the check-out process, selecting International Checkout.  Once you have entered your shipping address and before you enter any payment information, you will be presented with your shipping options and costs.  You may then decide whether or not you would like to complete the transaction.

We reserve the right to cancel orders requesting shipment to people or areas known for or suspected of credit card fraud.

Other Order Policies:

  • Orders that are refused and returned to us will be charged a  20% restocking fee, if package returned to us within 10 days of shipping.
  • Orders that are cancelled after they have shipped will be charged a 20% restocking fee, if the package returned within 10 days of shipping. 
  • Orders that are returned to us because the customer entered their address incorrectly, will be charged an additional shipping fee to re-ship the package.
  • We do not consider a color variation to be a product defect.  Digital cameras and computer monitors register colors in a variety of shades and hues.  If you are unsure about a color, email us for more information before you order.

     

    Note:  Colorful Critters can not accommodate in-person pick up or return of products.  We receive and deliver products via shipping services only.

    Guarantee / Returns: 

    We guarantee that your items will be as described.  If you notify us (by email) of defective merchandise within 3 days of receipt, we will arrange an exchange . 

    We will accept other returns for store credit only, with prior authorization. The store credit will be in the form of a credit certificate number that will be emailed to you and can be used towards another purchase from our store.    Please read the  the following guidelines:

    • You must obtain a return merchandise authorization (RMA) prior to return - contact us by email within 10 days of receipt of your merchandise.
    • We must receive your return within 10 days of providing the RMA, with RMA number clearly written on the outside of the package. Packages without a return authorization may be refused.
    • The item must be in original, saleable condition, with original packaging and any original tags intact and attached.
    • Apparel and/or fabric merchandise must be free of the scent of cologne or perfume and spot-free.  Otherwise we can not consider it as new. 
    • If the merchandise is not received in original condition,  your credit may be reduced by 50% - 100%.
    • On store credit returns, shipping costs will not be refunded. 
    • Sale, clearance, discontinued and holiday theme merchandise is not returnable.

    Out of Stock Items: 

    Items in our store that show "Y" for in stock status are in stock.  In the case of an inventory error, we will notify you of an out of stock status as soon as possible. If an item you'd like is shown as out of stock, it may mean it is on back order.  If you would like us to notify you for you when it arrives - Email us! 

    Disclaimers:We reserve the right to cancel and refund orders that contain website pricing errors. We will accept items with incorrect descriptions back for refund.  We reserve the right to cancel orders requesting shipment to people or areas known for or suspected of credit card fraud.
